Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009Life has many concerns that occupy us. Many of our concerns will always be there. The problem is not those things we worry about, but our image of God. We do not really think God wants to help us, and will help us with everything we need.
Although the council, we often give others is to ask first when difficult situations arise, it is nevertheless prayer often the last resort, we decide when we feel overwhelmed by life's worries, instead of being the first solution we resort to.
Jesus asked the question: "Who of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his life?" In Matthew's Gospel Chapter 6:
